Welcome, Nature, Movement and Colour!
A very wam welcome indeed to our Gold Room children who have moved to Moon and Star this week. You have bought the warm weather with you and we have had a great time getting to know you. You have settled in so well. We are all so proud of you!
With the warm weather, we have been exploring outside a lot more this week. We have enjoyed our new bug hotel! Where we have been finding all sorts of insects, from bee's to worms, to slug and snails. We have enjoyed looking at their differing colours, shapes and the way they move. We hope more animals come to visit so we can house them in our cosy hotel!
We have also been very green fingered and planted some new herbs, beans, peas and flowers. We can't wait to watch them grow, and get our hands dirty to help us develop an understanding of a plants life-cycle!
Our Gold room children have also been planting, potting potatoes and flowers!
We have been exploring movement and using our bodies in different ways from rolling to hopping, and jumping to skipping. In particular we found the hula hoops interesting because we can jump through them, walk with two of us inside, or wiggle our hips so the hoop rotates and goes round and round and round!
Colour has also been of interest, with us exploring what happens when we mix two or even three together. We have liked naming colours and even matching colours!
Have a nice weekend and we look forward to what wonders await us for next week!
