They have designed and made their own superhero costumes, including capes and masks, and made puppets to perform their own superhero stories. Through superhero play the children have had the opportunity to develop their mark making and cutting skills as well as their communication and language through self-expression.
Last week we also celebrated World Book Day. Many stories were read including ones about superheroes and fantasy worlds.
Please remember that sharing a story with your child on a regularly basis is a great way for developing their early literacy skills as well as being an enjoyable experience for all involved – HAPPY READING!
