We have been able to touch and feel the chicks and the children have been learning how to handle and hold them with love and care.
The children have continued to be keen to observe the chicks, and noticing changes, such as feathers forming on their wings. They have used the media of paint to draw portraits of the chicks.
Having the chicks in nursery and with the Easter holiday fast approaching this has inspired us to make chocolate Easter nests. The children enjoyed the process of melting the chocolate and mixing the ingredients together but of course liked the tasting best!
